Privacy for project requests
Downeast Remodeling collects bathroom project requests to discuss and manage remodeling work.
What we collect
The form asks for your name, phone number, property city or town, service, and project description. Email is optional. We also record the request time, IP address, and the version of the sharing permission you accepted to operate the service, prevent spam, and document your request. Earlier requests may include timing, budget, and photos.
Who receives your request
Your request comes to Downeast Remodeling. We review your information and may share your contact details, project information, and optional photos with a local remodeler working with us on your requested project. Submitting does not enroll you in unrelated advertising or a marketing list, and it does not book or authorize construction work.
We use your request to discuss the scope, availability, and next steps with you. If another business receives your information for the requested work, you may also ask that business how it handles the information.
Service providers and storage
Cloudflare hosts the website, spam protection, form processing, and private photo storage. SMTP2GO handles transactional email. Downeast Remodeling also uses internal request records and notifications to review and follow up on submissions.
Photo access uses unlisted links that expire after 30 days. Files are scheduled for automatic deletion after that period; cleanup may take additional time. Someone with a shared link can view the photo until it expires. A recipient may retain information or a copy already received. Project details and permission records may be retained longer to respond, prevent duplicates, and maintain necessary business records.
Website analytics
We also count page visits and clicks using a first-party service. It records the page path, referring website, general location and device type, with a random identifier stored for the browser tab. For clicks on links and buttons and for confirmed project requests, it records the type of event, the page and the link destination, with no names, emails or other personal details. It does not store your IP address, form answers or URL query strings. This tracking respects Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control.
We use Google Analytics to understand which pages visitors use, which links and buttons they click, and how often project requests are successfully received. Google Analytics uses cookies and receives technical information about your browser and visit. We do not send your form answers, contact details, photos, or submission reference to Google Analytics. Advertising personalization and automatic form tracking are disabled. This site skips Google Analytics when your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control.
Change, withdraw, or ask about your information
Email contact@downeastremodeling.com with the subject “Privacy request.” You can also use the project request form, choose “Not sure yet,” and start the description with “Privacy request.” Tell us whether you want to update or withdraw a request, access your information, or ask for deletion. We may need to verify that the request is yours.
Withdrawing a request can stop future sharing for that request; it cannot recall a message or photo already received by a contractor. If a contractor has contacted you, also tell them directly if you no longer want follow-up.
Do not include identification, financial records, or sensitive personal information. This form is for property projects, not emergencies.
